Following the continued growth of Medialab’s existing office, INKXSPACE were appointed to design and deliver a workspace that seamlessly connects departments while establishing a new benchmark for the wider estate.

The brief called for a contemporary environment to support immediate operational needs and act as the design catalyst for a phased refurbishment across the remaining demise over the next 12–24 months.

Working within a split landlord, tenant responsibility required strategic guidance, proactive coordination, and clear stakeholder alignment. INKXSPACE provided considered advice throughout, maintaining programme certainty and quality control at every stage.

The project comprised a full strip out and comprehensive refurbishment, including new flooring, exposed services with suspended LED lighting, upgraded air conditioning, a bespoke teapoint, and newly formed meeting and call rooms. Enhancements to the common staircase and visitor washrooms further elevated the arrival and guest experience.

The result is a confident, industrial-led workspace that balances functionality with design clarity — delivering a high-quality environment that supports Medialab’s growth while setting a forward foundation for future transformation.
